Session Plans:

Kannada Abhivrudhdi Pradhikara of Govt. of Karnataka has published a curriculum of set of 8 books for Kannada language seekers. Each level has one book that's serves as teaching aid, a text book and or a work book. Each book is organized into 12 sets (Kanthe).

Each set (Kanthe) acts as a session lesson plan for the teacher to guide a class learning. Each set can be taught in under 2 hours for target grade level.

Each Kanthe have lessons vary from 1 to 6 depending on the level. Lower the grade levels more the lessons per Kanthe.

The lessons are from ordered from easy to hard progression: It may start with a simple vocabulary to sentence building syntax and culminate in a story telling.

Lesson Plans:

A lesson plan is a teacher's detailed description of the course of instruction or “learning trajectory” for a lesson. Each lesson is organized like a lesson plan with following sections.

1. Objectives/Learning Targets

What, specifically, do you want your students to be able to do (or know) after your lesson? its mostly hidden in the name of title of the lesson.

2. Methods

How will you teach the lesson? List the activities, content, and strategies.

3. Assessment

What will you use to know whether your objectives were met? How will you assess whether your students “got it”? A quiz, an activity, an exercise?
